UPDATE: April 22, 2005
Minnesota Tribe is currently recruiting for all regiments.
Welcome! If you're reading this, then you're most probably interested in joining the proud warriors of the Minnesota Tribe. Hopefully you've read a few things on the web page and are familiar with our Code of Conduct.
A word of caution - we are an online unit that plays competitively in leagues. If you can't make a regular appearance and/or stay in touch, then this is not for you. This is not just a social club. Socializing is important to us, but that is not the primary reason why we're together.
Here are things we'd like to know about you:- Game Mechanics & Basics
- MW4:Mercenaries compliant with current patches
- connection speed (modem, cable, DSL, etc.)
- location (US, Europe, Australia, etc. - it can be more specific if you want)
- GMT offset to US (if you know it)
- Individual Comments
- preference (mech - light, medium, heavy, assault and style - infighter, sniper, fire support, etc.)
- self-described skill (green, regular, veteran, elite)
- a few words about why you want to join us
- did anyone refer you to us?
- Contact Information
- valid email (hotmail, yahoo, etc. is fine)
- Any instant messenger ID (we use this to find our pilots for battles scheduled on short notice)
Clan and Inner Sphere mech packs are not required. These packs are provided free of charge through the Hard Core installation. You may use them freely when playing Hard Core and will not work outside of that version unless you have the retail packs installed.
You'll also need to get TeamSpeak 2, and an IRC client program such as mIRC. Finally, you will need required NBT:Mercenaries league maps and patches before you can play on our or league servers (On the NBT-Mercs site and click Downloads on the left). One of our sergeants assigned to your time zone will contact you with more details on how to find the files and us live & in person on the Internet.
To apply, you'll need to submit a recruit request.
I'd also suggest that you create an account on our messageboard as it will be easier to move you into the cadet and higher rank structure.
Finally, all applicants will go through 4 week (or 1 month) evaluation process. This is to give you the time to get to know us, and vice-versa, as well as to see that you show the dedication that we're looking for.
Good luck.....and welcome! _________________
