Introduction

The Minnesota Tribe are the last remnants of what was the V Corps of the Star League Defense Forces that followed General Aleksandr Kerensky into Exodus.

The 331st Royal BattleMech Division "The North American Division", from which the Minnesota Tribe descends, was formed in the Terran Hegemony that was created by Richard McKenna, the Hegemony's first Director-General. All Royal-designated units were originally formed as part of the Hegemony Armed Forces (HAF), which in turn formed the core of the Star League Defense Forces when that military was created.

Although the Minnesota Tribe is not the same unit as the Division which left on Exodus, its descendants have reformed the unit along traditional Star League lines and away from most anything related to the Clans, keeping only those traditions which have worth in celebrating the Tribe's past, and not the history of the Clans as a whole.
